West Midlands in Europe Management Committee
The West Midlands in Europe Management Committee was established in June 2008, with representation from the two regional management partners of Advantage West Midlands and West Midlands Leaders Board [formerly West Midlands Local Government Association] (two members each), and senior members of West Midlands in Europe, the West Midlands Chambers of Commerce and the West Midlands Higher Education Association (one member each)
 | Dr. David Brown (Chair) is a member of the Board of Advantage West Midlands and is Chief Executive of the Rugby-based Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). He is a member of the West Midlands Innovation and Technology Council and of the Boards of the Central Technology Belt and the Centre for Sustainable Engineering. He is an Associate Fellow of Warwick Business School’s SME Centre, a Chartered Physicist, Chartered Scientist and a Fellow of the Institute of Physics. |
 | Cllr. Sir Albert Bore (Vice Chair) is a member of the Committee of the Regions, having also previously held the position of Committee of the Regions President and Vice-President. He is the Chair of the West Midlands Regional Assembly's European and International Affairs Partnership and Leader of the Labour Group on Birmingham City Council. He holds company directorships with Aston Science Park, the National Exhibition Centre and Marketing Birmingham and was knighted in 2002 for services to local government. |

Prior to taking on this role, Tim spent much of his career in the private sector working first in the upstream oil and gas industry at BP, Maersk and Schlumberger. Most recently, Tim became the first Chief Executive of the West Midlands Regional Observatory. |
